Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hanoi

The large remembrance to the leader of Vietnamese and it is located in the center of Ba Dinh Square where is the place for President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Construction was started on September 2, 1973 and formally opens on August 29, 1975. Mornings only, 8-11AM closed on afternoons, Mondays, and Fridays. Inspired of the mausoleum from Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow but use difference Vietnamese architectural. The external is made from black granite and red polished stone.
